Fiverr payout methods compared: PayPal, bank transfer and Payoneer

Three payout rails connect one platform balance to a wallet, local bank and payment account.

Fiverr lists three practical withdrawal routes for new users: PayPal, bank transfer via Payoneer, and a transfer to a Payoneer account. They do not end in the same place, so their visible fees are not a complete cost comparison.

The Fiverr Revenue Card still appears in the help table for existing cardholders, but Fiverr says it was discontinued for new users in December 2022.

Fiverr’s published payout table

The following figures were shown in Fiverr’s official help pages on 31 July 2026.

Method Destination Published transfer time Published withdrawal fee Minimum
PayPal PayPal account Usually immediate, up to 24 hours $0 charged by Fiverr $1
Bank Transfer via Payoneer, local currency Local bank 1 to 3 business days Fiverr’s main table showed $1; the Payoneer setup article showed $3 $20
Bank Transfer via Payoneer, USD wire Local bank 5 to 7 business days Fiverr’s main table showed $1 and the setup article also showed $1 $20
Payoneer Account Payoneer balance Up to 2 business days $3 $10

There is a material conflict in Fiverr’s own help centre for local-currency Bank Transfer via Payoneer. The general withdrawal article showed a $1 fee, while the dedicated Payoneer setup article showed $3. Freelance Signal cannot resolve that difference from the public pages alone. Check the fee displayed in the withdrawal confirmation and save a screenshot before submitting.

PayPal: no Fiverr fee does not mean no conversion cost

Fiverr says it does not charge a PayPal withdrawal fee and sets a $1 minimum. Funds usually arrive immediately but can take up to 24 hours.

The PayPal account must be verified, and the first setup and withdrawal must be completed on desktop. PayPal withdrawals only work in countries where PayPal supports receiving payments. Fiverr warns that PayPal may apply its own rates and fees.

If the money later moves from PayPal to a bank, include that step in the comparison. The route is Fiverr to PayPal to bank, not simply Fiverr to bank.

Bank Transfer via Payoneer: direct destination, unresolved fee conflict

This method sends the Fiverr withdrawal to a local bank account through Payoneer. Fiverr gives a $20 minimum. Local-currency transfers take one to three business days; USD wires take five to seven.

The currency choice matters. Fiverr’s dedicated setup article says the chosen currency is permanent once saved. Changing it requires removing and adding the method again, followed by a 24-hour wait.

Because Fiverr’s two official articles disagree on the local-currency withdrawal fee, rely on the amount displayed to the account at confirmation. Currency conversion may also reduce the amount received.

Payoneer Account: the payout is not yet in the bank

A Payoneer Account withdrawal sends money to the freelancer’s Payoneer balance. Fiverr lists a $3 fee, a $10 minimum and a transfer time of up to two business days.

Any later transfer from Payoneer to a bank is a second transaction with its own eligibility, rate, fee and timing. Do not compare the $3 Fiverr-to-Payoneer charge with a direct-to-bank route unless the onward step is included.

Waiting periods and account controls

Fiverr states that freelancers must wait 24 hours after adding or changing a withdrawal method and 48 hours after changing a verified phone number. A withdrawal method can be linked to only one Fiverr account. The platform caps a single withdrawal at $5,000, though multiple withdrawals can be initiated.

Fiverr also says withdrawals are final and cannot be reversed. Check the destination before confirming.

How to choose

First, remove methods that cannot receive payments in the freelancer’s country. Then compare routes using the same Fiverr balance and final destination currency.

Record the fee shown by Fiverr, the amount reaching PayPal or Payoneer, the provider’s conversion, and any onward bank fee. The route with the lowest platform fee is not necessarily the route that leaves the most money in the bank.
