How to report an error
Use Contact and include:
- the URL of the page;
- the statement you believe is wrong or outdated;
- why it is inaccurate;
- the country, account type or other scope involved; and
- a source that supports the correction, if available.
Do not send account passwords, full payment details or identity documents. A redacted screenshot may help explain an account-specific issue, but do not expose information that is not needed for review.
What happens after a report
The Freelance Signal Editorial Team checks the challenged statement against the cited source and any newer, more specific evidence. We also check whether the disagreement comes from a difference in country, currency, account type, rollout stage or date.
We may correct the page, add a qualification, update the source, leave the statement unchanged or remove it while the evidence is unclear. A submission does not guarantee a particular outcome.
Corrections, updates and minor edits
A correction fixes a material factual error in published content. When practical, a material correction should leave a visible note describing what changed and the date of the correction.
An update records a real change in the underlying platform, provider or route after the earlier information was accurate. Updates may be reflected on the page and in the Change Log. They are not necessarily editorial errors.
Spelling, grammar, formatting and broken-link repairs may be made without a correction note when they do not alter the substance.
No silent certainty
If the evidence remains mixed, we will not present the disputed point as settled. The page may show the uncertainty while further evidence is reviewed.
